Wubbena holds a Bachelor of Music Education degree from the University of Northern Colorado. He has taught students from elementary to adults throughout Colorado. He is also the artistic director for the Boulder Children’s Chorale.

“With Mr. Wubbena on the podium, the Longmont Chorale is poised to continue its tradition of bringing beautiful music to the community. We look forward to the exciting musical opportunities which lie ahead, his leadership, and the impact he will make on the Longmont Chorale and the broader musical community,” the news release said.

Karlie Carter also joins the chorale this season as the chorale accompanist. She hold a BA in piano performance from Wake Forest University and an MA in music education from George Mason University. She has spent 27 years accompanying chorale programs, vocal soloists and community groups.

Carter also teaches music at Mountain View Elementary School.

“Her commitment to education and her collaborative spirit will undoubtedly enrich the musical experience for both the Chorale and the broader Longmont community. Karlie's enthusiasm for creating beauty through music is infectious, and her presence will undoubtedly inspire the next generation of musicians,” the news release states.
