The mission of OUR Center is "We help people move toward self-sufficiency by unifying community resources". For over 30 years, OUR Center (Outreach United Resource Center, Inc.) has provided basic needs to the most vulnerable in our community to help them get back on their feet. OUR Center provides daily hot, nutritious meals, groceries to take home, clothing and personal care items, rent and utility assistance to keep families in their homes, transportation, medical care, budget counseling, financial skills training, community referrals, and so much more to aid individuals and families in the St. Vrain Valley in their movement to self-reliance.

We believe in “a hand up, not a hand out”.

OUR Center is the primary human services agency in the St. Vrain Valley that assists individuals and families who are at risk of becoming homeless due to short-term financial emergencies.  OUR Center works closely with many other agencies in the community to assist those in need, especially those in emergency situations.

Many families are only one paycheck or one crisis away from needing assistance – and it can happen to anyone.  A job loss, medical emergency, and the rising cost of housing in Boulder County can all contribute to a family suddenly facing the loss of their home, a utility shut-off, or facing the difficult decision of paying for housing or medical needs for loved ones.

Over 12,000 households per year are able to maintain their housing, receive healthy food, and avail themselves of skill-building and educational classes to move to self-reliance due to the generosity of donors to OUR Center (Outreach United Resource Center, Inc.).

Will you contribute to our community’s safety net to keep our neighbors housed, warm, and fed?

OUR Center is seeking $15,000 to keep 50 families housed and fed this year.

Donations are tax-deductible and can be designated for Basic Needs, Food Program, Capital Campaign, Aspen Center for Child Development, or Where Most Needed.

About the Live & Give Program:

Help shape Longmont’s future in a single day.

On September 26th, Live & Give Longmont brings our community together for 24 hours of generosity. With everyone in the community giving whatever they can, we hope to raise start up funds for a few projects in our community. It’s about working together to accentuate the place we love—so it will continue to thrive today and for generations to come.
