New board seats added to Visit Longmont

Visit Longmont is tasked with increasing tourist visitation to Longmont. On Jan. 23, the Longmont City Council ratified a change to the nonprofit’s board of directors, allowing for three additional seats.

The new seats will represent arts and culture, sustainable development and outdoor recreation, according to a news release from Visit Longmont.

“These updated seats represent important sectors supporting responsible tourism growth, while maintaining our strong partnership with the City of Longmont,” said Sarah Leonard, Visit Longmont’s CEO.

Erik Mason, director of the Longmont Museum will sit in the art and culture seat, Byron Komiek, founder of Jack’s Solar Garden will take the sustainable development seat and Jeff Friesner, director of recreation and culture at the city of Longmont will assume the outdoor recreation seat.
