Continued growth is the goal for the Broomfield Chamber of Commerce’s newly appointed President and Chief Executive Officer Pat Monacelli.
“I’m really excited for it (the new position). I think it is a great opportunity,” Monacelli said. “We have a really incredible Chamber of Commerce here and when this opportunity came available I really was interested in it. I’m excited about what the future holds for this organization.”
Monacelli joined the Chamber in 2019 as the director of membership. Over the years he has seen the organization grow to support the local business community.
Not only has the business community grown but so have the Chamber’s staff and volunteers, Monacelli said. “The sky is really the limit here.”
Former CEO Sam Taylor resigned from the position in early May, taking a job with a Lafayette nonprofit.
Taylor described the Chamber as not being in the best of shape when he took over in 2017. Since then the Chamber has seen tremendous growth, Monacelli said, adding he hopes to continue that trend.
“I think every CEO has their own ideas on things. We have a good system, a good organization but there are always ways to improve. We will look to get to the next level, but I am not looking to put my stamp on anything. I am looking for the Chamber to be an even more integral part of the community and the business sector than we already are,” Monacelli said about his goals as CEO.
Monacelli said he will continue to take advantage of the opportunities for growth in Broomfield during his tenure.
