Broomfield police report, Nov. 23, 2022

A burglar smashed the glass door of a home, but he was confronted by the homeowner and ran away, police said. The suspect was then found by officers and arrested.

The Broomfield Police Department reports police activity through a community crime map. The following reports include information gathered from the crime map and obtained by the Leader from the department.

  • Police found two people in a stolen vehicle Sunday on 120th Street. Both the driver and passenger were arrested and face charges of drug possession.
  • Officers found an SUV Saturday that was reported stolen out of Arvada. The vehicle, which contained four stolen license plates. was abandoned in the 2300 block of 136th Avenue.
  • Police found a stolen vehicle, from Larimer County, on Saturday in the 12100 block of Sheridan Boulevard. The suspect was arrested.
  • Around $5,130 worth of items were stolen Saturday from two vehicles parked in a garage in the 1500 block of 136th Lane. A debit card was stolen and used to spend $80 at a nearby convenience store.
  • A vehicle, worth around $1,484, was stolen Saturday from a home on Garden Center.
  • A vehicle was stolen from Aurora and found Friday on Chase Street in Broomfield. The driver was arrested and faces charges of motor vehicle theft, possession of methamphetamine, possession of fentanyl and other drug charges.
  • A package, worth around $142, was stolen from an apartment complex Thursday on Via Varra. 
  • A man used a rock to smash the glass door of a home to get inside, but he was confronted by the homeowner and ran away. The incident occurred Nov. 16 in the 8300 block of Parkland Street. The suspect was arrested and faces burglary and criminal mischief charges.
