Practice Your Spanish or English

The Longmont Library offers conversation programs for kids and adults to give a non-judgmental environment to practice Spanish or English.

  • Hablemos! Let’s Talk Spanish-English Conversation Group: 1-2 pm on Thursdays in the Unquiet Study Area (upstairs in the Library). This meet-up is free and open to anyone wanting to practice their language skills. It is recommended that participants have at least an intermediate level of Spanish to effectively participate. We’ll choose themes and games that will be entertaining and interesting to all of us.
  • Say Hello! English Conversation Group: 10:30-11:30 am on Saturdays in the Unquiet Study Area (upstairs in the Library) - starts Saturday, June 3. Practice English conversation with others in an informal, conversational setting. We recommend attendees have some previous English experience to effectively participate, but everyone is welcome!
  • Mis pininos / My First Steps: 4-5 pm most Wednesdays at Collyer Park, 600 Collyer St. For kids 5-13 years old and their caretakers. Join us to learn and practice Spanish through games and songs with native Spanish speakers. Families are welcome to talk to facilitators Lili and Natalia about the free resources available at the Longmont Library at the end of each program.
