Anyone living within Longmont city limits that no longer has a landline in their home and wants to receive police and fire emergency reverse notifications must register. Summer electric rates underway

Longmont Power & Communications has begun its annual summer electric rates, which help cover the added cost of electrical generation in the warmer months (when electric demand is highest) and also encourage energy efficiency. These rates, which remain among the lowest in Colorado, will continue through the end of September. Find ways to save energy in your home this summer with simple home devices from the Efficiency Works online store at efficiencyworksstore.com or by getting a low-cost home energy assessment from Efficiency Works at efficiencyworks.org. Residents who need assistance can also find information on income-qualified utility rebates through the Longmont CAReS program at the Longmont CAReS website.
